My toshiba satellite c855 shuts off and restarts when the AC adaptor is plugged in. This happens mostly when gaming. If I use it on battery it won't shut off.

I cleaned and added new thermal paste, fan noise is good, CPU temps also good, I even tried new AC adaptor but still having the problem. Also updated Bios. Is a damaged power jack able to shut off the laptop? The only thing I could think of is this.

Please help me!!!! 🙁

Hi, to be sure it's not a software problem, try this, go in the BIOS with only the battery connected. After, plug the DC adapter, if you have the same problem, may be the charging circuit is defective.

I formated it, also took it to an electrician and they scanned software, so i don't think going to BIOS will change anything.
Thanks for your feedback though. (Even if i go to BIOS, i can't be sure because it shuts off randomly)
