laptop slowed down

so basically I've a Asus x555LJ with an I7 5550U 8gb ram and a 920m..I've played hawken in high settings and lately I could run it in high and I had to drop some setting to get decent fps.. and I've been playing gta v in 720p with medium to high settings with 30-35 fps and since Monday I've started to loose some fps like it runs 5 mins at 35 and then it runs at 24 fps and lowest being 18 when I'm driving or shooting.. and the boot time is also slow..ddnt have this kind of issues before..anything That I can do without any upgrades although I'll be getting a ssd soon..

Do try doing a clean install of the graphic card driver.

Slow boot time is best fixed by a clean Windows setup. Maybe caused by a failing hard drive as well. GTAV slowdown in areas is probably due to the low end 920m video card and a slower laptop U model i7.

It could be that the laptop is throttling under the heat.

the boot time I can fix with a ssd but the gaming problem is it just happened before it worked fine.. jst suddenly happened..
