Hello. I have ASUS F556U. I traveled to a different country so I had to use a laptop adapter, it has voltage switch on it and different size "heads." I plugged my laptop in and everything was fine, it was charging. Then the cord got unplugged from the "head" and I went to put it back together, while the "head" was still attached to the laptop. In that moment the "head" sparked and my laptop went off. When I tried turning it on again, a few times it would turn on for a second and turn off right away. Then it stopped doing that. I tried using the original cord with an outlet adaptor, no change. The battery is internal, can't take it out. And there is no reset button or hole. Tried holding the power button for a min or more, did nothing. What could this be and what should I do? Thank you!

It's possible that the internal battery and/or circuitry has been damaged from the irregularity in your voltage after plugging it back in. Without the power brick, can you power up the system? If not then the battery has been shot. You will need to take it to a certified technician and probably inspect every inch of the motherboard and see if any capacitor/resistors got damaged/fried.
