Laptop starts up but shows no display, except when you press F10 rapidly

I have a laptop that is showing no display, but it boots up. It won't show any display unless i F10 Repeatedly, and then it shows. However when left alone for some time it will go black and won't show any display anymore unless pressing F10 which works, but then comes in another problem which is it will then mess up the screen with horizontal lines.

Sounds like a bad screen. Test it with an external monitor, if that works, you could have a bad connection or a bad backlight or LCD screen.

Hello, I know it is the same as shooting an arrow in the dark but did you manage to fix it, if so, how?
