I left my laptop on the bed to go and eat, when I came back I found it turned off and when I checked it it wasn't that hot and it stopped charging, but the charger power brick was really hot. I tried taking out the battery and charger and hold down the power button for a minute, but it still wouldn't work. do I need to go repair it?

Solution
When the power brick was hot, a component in the charging circuit burned or maybe the DC jack short-circuit the adapter and now it's open. You can try reseating the RAM, but the laptop will need to be repaired.
