Laptop to purchase

Hi -

Looking to buy a solid new laptop. Mainly will use for surfing the web, excel, little music. I was looking into Lenovo brand, but please any info will be appreciated.

What kind of budget are you looking at? You shouldn't need anything expensive, but if you're willing to spend a bit more, you might be able to get some fancy stuff!

I'm also assuming no gaming, since it wasn't mentioned?

Actually, it looks like a lot of vendors are phasing out 7 systems. Your only options are basically just refurbished systems.

But there is a solution to that.

All the wonders of Windows 8 but with a familiar experience. This program costs $5 and basically makes 8 merely 7 with new optional features. I use it myself, along with the full Object Desktop subscription.
