Laptop turns off when unplugged

Hi, I got an ASUS X541U laptop, and it won't turn on/it will turn off as soon as i unplug the ac charger. It used to turn off occasionally while using it, but now it just won't turn on. The laptop is very new (less than a month). I have tried resetting all battery power plans to default but for no use.

Yes it might be, tomorrow I'll go check from the retail store I bought it from... but how can the battery be dead in one week? (Unless you mean it has 0% charge which is not the case it's on100%)

I've had quite a few parts fail in short order over the years; laptop batteries often go dead for me. Was it used as a display model or pre-used?

It was used as a display model but it was never turned on (When i turned it on the first time I had to run the first time setup)

I too have the same problem. laptop just turns off like the battery is removed, unexpectedly, when it is running on battery
Also, the laptop sometimes does not power on if it is unplugged
