Solved! Laptop turns on with a small white line and shuts off

Hi
So my sister has a laptop which turns on with a really small white line I hear the fans but then they stop working and even the light which indicates the laptop is on is flickering between orange and white. After some seconds it turns off. I tried switching the Ram, the hdd and still does that.
What could it be?

Could be a bios issue, try taking the bios battery out (if it has one) check it and put back if its still OK or replace.

I have a Acer with a corrupt bios (seems to be an Acer problem), only fix for mine is a new motherboard!
