Hi, I have a laptop that is over the requirements but can barley run Skyrim on the lowest graphics so I'm trying to figure out why and if I can upgrade it or something so I can play Elder Scrolls Online, here's what I have

HP dv7 3056dx, specs are as follows:
Cpu: Amd Turion II Ultra Dual-Core Mobile M600 2.4ghz
Graphics: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 says 3010mb of memory
Memory: 6gbs of ram

Elder Scrolls Online Requirements
CPU: Dual Core 2.0 GHz or equivalent processor
RAM: 2 GB
Video Card: DirectX 9.0 compliant video card with 512MB of RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 8800 / ATI Radeon 2600 or better)

What do you think is holding me back? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i have this graphic card too , it so bad that i think it's only for low end laptops , try running the game with game booster , that some times help me 😀

I'm surprised it ran Skyrim at all with playable fps. The CPU barely meets the minimum requirements and the GPU doesn't meet it at all. The HD 4200 is much slower than the 8800 and the 2600 and the 4200 only has 256Mb of dedicated vram not 3Gb.

Well...

Those are the Minimum Requirements and you're right on the edge of that meaning you should barely be able to run it.

The Recommended Requirements are:

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8 64-bit
Processor: Quad Core 2.3GHz or equivalent processor
Memory: 4GB System RAM
Hard Disk Space: 60GB free HDD space
Video Card: Direct X 11 compliant video card with 2GB of RAM (NVIDIA® GeForce® 560 Ti / ATI Radeon™ 6950 or better)
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card

Your GPU is likely the biggest issue but your CPU is also wanting.
