Laptop with normal spec runs very slow

Hello. I have a laptop, who worked really fine for me for a year. But like month ago it started run very slow. When I try to open folder with few files its loading 2-3 minutes. Yesterday i've changed HDD, and now im trying to install windows. 10 minutes on starting instalation, 20 on Where do you want install windows? (its loading disk partitions). So its not a HDD problem. Specs:

Acer Aspire 7741G / 17,3'' / Intel Core i5-480M / Radeon HD 5650 1GB / 4GB RAM

It sounds like you have a hardware issue going on, I would suggest you use the HDD manufacturers diagnostic tool to test the harddrive first off.

First, when installing windows have you uninstalled the previous os? Also, did you clean install it and still have issues? I think that these are the cases; there's either a virus in the mobo or your processor is not working correctly. Do you hear the fans spinning at high speed when installing windows and their air maybe is too much hot?
