Laptop wont start.

Hello, I have a asus x54h laptop and last night I was watching the new Deadpool movie and the laptop shut down by itself. The battery was inside and the charger was plugged in. Now none of the laptop nor the adapter's lights wont light up when I connect the ac adapter. Can some one help ?

is the battery detachable? Try removing it and then plugging the AC adapter in.

Take out the battery and unplug the charger.
Press the power button for 20 seconds.
Plug in the charger and turn on the laptop.

Did them both , nothing happened.

then you can guess that the power supply is shot, so either spring for a new one or see if a retailer will let you test one and then go for it if it works.
Also since the light in the powersupply remains unlit...
