Laptop wont turn on. Keyboard and power button light up

Recently i cleaned my laptop and now I reassembled it and it wont turn on. I have Alienware m17x r2. When I press power button, keyboard and power button light up and i hear some very silent noise. Touchpad also doesnt light up. I tried to take out the battery and holding power button for 60 sec but it doesnt work.

Most likely when rebuilding you didn't make a good connection on some of the cables. That or they have been broken. I suspect the touchpad and monitor cables would be a good place to check first.

I didnt touch display cables but i will check. Maybe I accidentaly disconnected something. I thought that touchpad was the problem since it wasnt lighted on so i connected it again and nothing happened.

Something similiar has also happened to my Alienware 17 R3 but I didn't even open it up. I simply didn't use it for a few weeks and now it won't come on.

Flat cables were the problem. Cables are old so you need to connect them more carefully. In this case it was the power button cable.
