Hi there,

I'm having an issue with the dedicated GPU.
Laptop model: MSI GT70 2OC.
Integrated GPU: Intel HD 4600
Dedicated GPU: nVIDIA GTX 770m

I've tried the following things:

I've set the global GPU to high performance nVIDIA GPU.
I've reinstalled the nVIDIA Driver.
I've set the power setting to high performance.
I've tried doing this from this thread:
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1988136/laptop-dedicated-gpu.html

This happens when these services are stopped :
1. NVIDIA Driver Helper Service
2. NVIDIA Update Service Daemon.

Start Task Manager .Click the tab "Services" .Click on a button named "Services ..." .Find them.their names .Right click on them .then Properties . Then Click on "Start " and then select Start-up time :
for the first ->Automatic
for the second -service > Automatic(Delayed Start)

Unfortunately, I couldn't find those two services in the registry, and couldn't set them.

I guess now, the only thing I can think of is to do a fresh install, which is a huge inconvenience due to university and work...

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I found the solution.

It was in fact the power setting. I had assumed I switched it to high performance. However, I double checked last night and found that it was on power saver, and before that I kept it at balanced.

Performance is as it should be now.

Darkbreeze, I gave you best solution because although your solution didn't help me specifically, I'm sure it will help others in the future :)
