i don't know what happened. my laptop worked excellent until today: i've launched splinter cell blacklist to see that it's choppy and that the frames dropped down below 30, even tough up untill today it used to run at 60 fps capped. i checked bf4 to see the same thing: low fps and choppy gameplay. chrome browser works slower as well, although i can still view videos at 1080p without any problems. i've downloaded a software today that worked fine, but just in case i've uninstalled it. i've also ran AVG scan that fond 2 threats and neutralized them, i've ran CCleaner but nothing helped. i've also downloaded a new driver from AMD, nothing.
pc specs:
sager NP9150
intel core i7-3160qm
radeon 7970m 2gb
8gb ram
windows 8.1 64 bit
thanks

one more thing: about a week ago my PC shut down and when i tried to restart it, and AMD notification popped up sayng that i had a driver problem. it turned out my PC wouldn't recognize my GPU. i've restarted the cimpter and it still did not recognize it. the other day i started my pc up and everything was fne, and i had no problems since.

I would start with the driver reinstall. I would uninstall then use the amds cleanup utility. It is usually on there download site (at least for desktops it is)

Please uninstall the drivers and reinstall it and use Cleanup, Tune and System Utilities softwares to boost up your laptop
Good luck
Cheers

it turns out, my laptop has a feature inside the keyboard's driver to change the profile of the laptop: it was on silent lol.
