They are thin and use less energy, and they are new tech, and brighter, maybe last longer than lcd cuz LED last real long

They are not "LED" TVs. They are LCD panels which are lit with LEDs instead of lamps. This allows them to be thinner, more efficient, longer lasting, better color, and on some sets better contrast due to the LEDs being adjustable for different parts of the screen. There are OLED TVs but they are small. They are also more money at the moment. Plasma is still a bit better and maybe cheaper for the larger sizes.
