Hi all, firtst time on here,

My daughter closed the lid of her laptop and when she came back an hour later it would not turn on, it is only 6 weeks old. when the power button is pressed a little white power light on the right hand edge of the laptop lights up for about 5 seconds then nothing.

I am a complete beginner on this sort of thing so any help would be appreciated.

If it is that new, contact the manufacturer as it is under warranty.
