Lenovo Ideapad 700 won't turn on without the ac charge plugged in.

The laptop doesn't work without the ac adapter connected to it. As soon as the ac power is switched off, it turns off leaving all the work unsaved. I can't turn it on either without connecting the AC adapter. The laptop is new, about 4 months now. It is working fine as long the ac is connected, otherwise its useless. It doesn't serve the purpose for a laptop anymore. Please suggest.

If it is that new, and giving you this much trouble, contact the manufacturer. It should be under warranty still.

But I live in india, bought the laptop in US. In india there's no lenovo support for Ideapad 700 as it has not been launched yet. So, what do i do?

They may well have support still, just not local. It may require shipping and time. The reason why that is what I recommend is that the device is under warranty. However if you do anything to it that can void that warranty you may come to regret it. I would check with the manufacturer to see if they can help first.
