I have a Lenovo Ideapad 300-15ISK, with a RAMBO optical drive. Can I swap this drive out for one that will play Blu-Ray disks?

Solution
Just installed one of these in my POS HP Pavilion.

Won't have to touch the BIOS. Will probably have to spring for a program/player that plays Blu-Rays, though. Or you could use the free version of Leawo, but it gives me trouble with some discs.

Shipping on the drive could take 2-3 weeks, as it comes from China (mine took 20 days).

You'll also probably have to swap the bezel from the old drive to the new drive, unless the old one is perfectly flat like the one on the new drive.
Yes. RAMBO don't mean jack. Although you won't be seeing full 1080p, because if memory serves, that model has a 768p display (but I could be mistaken).

You'll just have to determine whether a 9.5mm ultraslim drive or 12.7mm slim drive is what you'll need.

According to the Lenovo website, it's a 9.5mm drive. So, any suggestions as to what model of ultraslim blu ray drive I should purchase? Will I have to update the BIOS to accommodate it?
