So yesterday I brought RAM for my Lenovo Q190 PC and when I put it in the RAM Slot I powered on my PC and all the stuff like lights and fans etc was working but nothing came on screen,I turned my monitor on and off and it said no signal :/ Here are some details

Specs:
Old RAM:2GB
CPU:Intel Celeron 1.60GHz
GPU:Intel HD Graphics

RAM that I am trying to install:
8GB 2Rx8 EP3L - 10600E - 9 - 12 - D1
HMT41GA7MFR8A -H9 T0 AB

Solution
I thought that would work according to the specs I read.

However, in the circumstances, take both sticks to the shop and tell them the 8GB doesnt work, and buy one that matches the existing stick.
The first thing to check is the Voltage of that RAM before you switch on again. The specs for that machine show the RAM as PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3, non-parity,

Is that what you bougght?

That is the 2GB RAM that came with my PC

If it's working except for the graphics display, could you have disturbed the connections inside the box when you replaced the RAM? Does it work if you put the 2GB stick back?

When you power it up with the 8GB stick in place, does it show in BIOS?

When I put the 2GB Stick in it works like normal but with the 8GB Stick nothing happens except for the PC's fans and lights coming on etc. Also I have no clue if it shows up in the BIOS because I havent tried that out yet,but I don't think the BIOS would even work because of how theres no display.

So either that stick isn't working or isn't the proper RAM for the job.

Comparing the labels, do you see any mismatch in the specs? It's not unusual for suppliers to ship the wrong parts.

2GB PC3-12800 DDR3
8GB 2Rx8 EP3L 10600E DDR3

(also I didnt buy the 8GB Online,I brought it in a shop)
