On Lenovo's website, the Thinkpad T460p is described as "MIL-SPEC rugged" and costs significantly more than its lighter T460 version. However, they both look very similar and belong to the same T series.

Is the T460 as rugged as the T460p? Does the T460 also pass the MIL-SPEC tests? What causes the T460p to be more expensive than the T460?

Thanks for your answers

All ThinkPad T laptops are MIL-SPEC certified. This also applies to the W and X series as well.

Budget ThinkPad laptops like the E and L series are not MIL-SPEC certified... part of the reason why they are relatively inexpensive.

I have no idea about the ThinkPad Yoga.

Here is the answer,T460P means professional it is specced out better than the T460, I believe the T460 is only using ULV processors and the T460P uses real laptop processors thus is more powerful and better suited for heavier workloads it also supports more ram. T460P is basically better overall.

If you need more CPU power go for T460p If you want Lighter go for T460.

They are both just as durable.
