Hi,
I'm looking for a new laptop and I have two in mind. They both cost around $1,000.
I'll be doing a bit of everything: gaming, internet browsing, streaming, video editing, blogging etc.
Here are the specs:
Lenovo Y50:
Processor: Intel i7-4710hq 2.5 Ghz
Graphics: GeForce GTX 860m 4 GB
RAM: 16 GB
Drive: SSD 512 GB
Weight: 2.4 kg
Asus ROG:
Processor: Intel i7-4710hq 2.5 Ghz
Graphics: GeForce GTX 860m 2 GB
RAM: 8 GB
Drive: 1 TB HDD (7200 rpm) + 24 GB SSD Cache
Weight: 2.7 kg
They are very similar to one another with a few big differences:
- Lenovo has 512 SSD storage.
- Asus has an optical disk drive (doesn't really matter since I have an external drive already).
- Lenovo has 16 GB RAM.
- Lenovo has much, much better speakers.
I'm leaning towards the Lenovo laptop, though I just wanted to see what you think first!
Thanks!
