I cant really come to a decision.
The most I want to do is to be able to play BF4 on atleast medium settings without lag.
I have only $900 to spend max.
Which laptop would be better? the y510p with an i5 processor SLI and 2x 750M 2GB graphics cards and 1920 x 1080 resolution for $880
or
the y510p with an i7 processor with a single 755m 2GB graphics card and 1366x768 resolution for $800.
The choice looks obvious but they say BF4 is a more gpu intensive game. Thats what got me thinking.

Solution
That's actually a tricky one, since BF 4 is CPU intensive, more so than other games. With the difference in GPUs and resolutions, I'll bet they will play pretty similarly...maybe the SLI setup has a slight lead in pure gaming processing, even with a few less logical cores.

I'll bet Lenovo will have a decent laptop/storewide coupon code for Black Friday.

Good luck!

If you can add the 2nd gpu to the ultrabay later (I'm almost positive you can, but I would check to make sure), then I might recommend the better cpu (as this you generally can't upgrade) and then upgrade to gpu #2 if needed. Although, in the end it's more money and heat, if the i5 works just fine for bf4 then getting the 2 gpu would certainly be the better idea

Yes but no coupon for the i5 with SLI...
The lenovo website only carries the i7 now.
I saw the i5 on newegg, but Im hoping the lenovo site will add a bigger discount to the i7 SLI, right now its only $50 bucks off.
