Hi I think I might have overheating issue as well but I am not sure. Using y530 with I5 and GTX 1050. I play overwatch and Witcher 3 on medium setting. The maximum cpu temperature usually go around 95 degree. But based on my observation ( in the middle of gaming I alt tab to the temperature monitoring programme to see the current temperature) , it is usually between 70-80 degree. The 90 degree is just spike of heat and it juz appears occasionally for 1 or 2 seconds then back to 70-80 degree. May I know is this normal and safe? Thank you so much for any reply

Solution
Well the 70-80 is pretty normal. The spike can be normal, but you may want to look into cleaning out the computer of dust and debris. Make sure the fans are clean and the vents are not blocked. Then, for a further step, you may want to consider changing out the thermal paste. If you don't feel comfortable doing that yourself, then try a local tech.
