Wow. I remember waaaaay back when these smart displays used to be called TABLETS!!!

I like how these things are being referred to as stylish. The back appeared stylish, I'll give them that, buut, I don't look at the back. The front just looks like they took a bunch of non-selling black tablets and slapped them into a 1970s looking off white frame. They could at least make the tablet white as well to flow up to the screen. The contrast looks ugly to me.

So a loaded tablet with a decent speaker, definitely better than the echo but still a glorified tablet. This does nothing that a few downloads and a tablet stand can't accomplish in a smaller, thinner format. Not sure if this is progress, maybe for the software but doesn't seem like progress in the hardware arena.
