I bought a LG sound system sound goes threw smart tv (phillips) except for tv it will not play the tv sound threw the sound system radio and cd/dvd all works threw the tv no problem using hdmi cable

Can't really make out what the issue is form your post, are you saying you are not getting any TV audio playing on the LG home theater?
