LG led issues

our electricity went out and after that the off and on light keeps blinking. the TV will not turn on or off other than unplugged. This is a 37" LG led from 2005

Best guess power surge damaged the power supply,
A replacement board might not be available anymore. You can check with
www.shopjimmy.com
Otherwise might be time to bit the bullet and buy a new TV. Maybe your home owners insurance can cover it. If your power company was doing repairs you might be able to get them to cover it but that's a long shot.
