LG magic remote problem

I bought a lg 42lb550v which comes with a magic remote. the remote was working fine for a few days but just a week later its sensor or the pointer stopped working. Everything else works just fine except for the pointer. i even tried reseting the remote but it didn't help.

somebody help me out.

If you have tried shaking the remote to wake it up, and that the batteries have not been put in the wrong way round, then it may need re-initializing.
1. Press SMART or HOME button with PREVIOUS button at the same time.
2. Then hold the remote control heading toward the TV and press OK (WHEEL)

If this also fails, the i would contact the place you bought it from and discuss RMA.

If the magic remote has gone bad, you might be able to get it to work temporarily by cooling it in the refrigerator for a few minutes. Worked for me. LG is replacing my remote under warranty but meanwhile I can use it to configure the TV.

Contact LG on their web site. They will send you another one. They did me.
