LG Optimus G gallery photos wont view until I restart

Hello. please help me. Everytime I download photos, they wont view in my gallery until I restart the phone. BUT they will view in my downloads. Any suggestions?

AFAIK, they only refresh after taking a picture in the native camera app.
You may need a 3rd party app: https/play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tristarapps.tools.galleryrefresh&hl=en
