Solved! LG TV internal speaker sound problem!

Hi,
I’ve had a LG 40LF630V for around 4 years now. Great TV but unfortunately recently the internal speaker started sounding strange. A bit like a dalek! The speaker, well probably more than likely the circuit board, sounds ok for about 10 minutes, goes dalek for a while and then goes back to normal eventually. I tried to remedy this by connecting it up to an external speaker system. Unfortunately this is behaving the same too! Any advice would be gratefully received.

There is an amplifier built into the TV that is shared by the internal speakers and the headphone jack. If you get a speaker or soundbar that has an optical input that should work.
