Solved! LG tv lines and colors

My LG 37" lcd tv has horizontal lines at the top that bounce up and down, and the rest of the screen is a red color. If i leave it on for about 30 minutes or so it goes back to normal, and remains normal as long as i dont turn it off. Any ideas whats wrong?

sounds like a cold solder joint on a circuit board as had a similar problem with my stepfather's floppy controller on his 1st computer till I resoldered it.
