Locate your Android phone when it is dead

You cannot locate or ring the phone if the battery is dead. However, you can see the last place it was on and connected.

Go to maps.google.com -make sure you are logged in with the same account as your phone
Click on the Menu (upper left corner)
Click on "Your Timeline"
Click on the bar graph on the right of the date entry field
Click on the last bar on the right

PRESTO! This would give you the history of the last day the phone was on and connected to google.

Alternately, you can enter a date to see where that phone was on that date.

That only works if you allow your location to be shared with google. If you are security conscious, like I am, Google has NO record of you or your device. It might work, but your method isn't foolproof.

That is an excellent point... You cannot see the location of your phone in Google after configuring your phone to hide its location from Google. Google is not psychic -although I do sometimes wonder.

So there is no solution time-line wont me if its under the couch or in the fridge or washer ectt..
