Lock Device

Anyone know of a small freeware app that will let me "lock" the screen.

I want to just be able to reach for the start menu and select "lock device"
then have the built in password screen show up.

Hi Chance:

I use the built in password feature of the PocketPC
but I have to turn on/off power x,xxx times per day.

I wrote this program that allows me to turn off the
power without pressing the power button. This
program will save your power button and also allow
you to turn *off* power (and lock) with a single tap.

Enjoy!

Thanks you both for the suggestions.

Although I don't actually want to turn it off. I want to be prompted for the
password by hitting a button.

Under the password settings I have it set for 5 minutes, but this doesn't
seem to work at all in the cradle.

Is there an API or something to call the prompt? Or any software that
implements it?

Like when you hit the windows + L key in xppro. That's the sort of function
I'm thinking of.

If your machine has a built in password you can set that, reach for the
on/off button and press that twice.

My PHM Keys for Pocket PC contains that feature (and provides a shortcut
that does exactly what you request, lock and bring up the standard password
screen of the device):
