Logitech G230 still worth it in 2016?

I need a new pair of headsets that has a decent mic with a cheap price. And if i may ask is the g230 still a bang for the budget headset or you guys can recommend me some headsets that fit my budget of less than 50$.

And I have a quick add on question...(This maybe stupid(but im just curious) Could the G230 possibly also support 7.1 surround sound if u plug a usb dongle like the g430 have?

Get the razer headset, now under 50 bucks and truly comfortable for long hours of playing, good luck!

I would suggest saving a bit more for the Kingston HyperX cloud, you won't be disappointed. Any headset below $50 is bound to come with problems.

I've heard from a few friends that the G230/G430 is mediocre and is very fragile (in one case, when a friend dropped one, it broke.)

Yah! But i have big ears and in long periods of time it tends to be uncomfortable, But thanks for the suggestion and ill think about it

PS. I currently use the Razer Kraken
And i also have a problem of the ear cushions with my kraken, the glue inside of the ear cushions tend to loose within 6 months and i have tried super glue already but it doesn't work and the replacements are to damn expensive

Ohh if thats so I would try to save up for the hyperX cloud and give them a try.Cheers!
