Logitech G930 or Logitech G430

Hello!
I am having a hard time on choosing one of these headphones. I will get them from Amazon so the price doesn't really matter.

I did a little research and i've heard some cons about both the headphones.

Cons. for G930
1.The leather that surrounds your ear.
2.The volume cuts of every 10min. (atleast those bought from Amazon and only some people have that issue).

Cons of G430
1. The wire is too long which could and does damage some stuff.

P.S. I just want some experts advice and what's his choice ?

I've owned the g930 for a while here is my experience.

1. The leather around the ear cups doesn't bother me. It's cool and tends to stay that way. It's not very "plush" and as a result doesn't help with sound isolation as some other headphone. But what is there is adequate.

2. I don't have a problem with the volume cutting off. But at times the unit will just turn itself off, even when there is plenty of battery. It doesn't happen when I have the unit plugged in. This didn't happen with my first set.

3. The joint between the head band and the earcup is weak. Avoid pulling the ear cups to far apart. If you twist the ear cups so the speakers face you and slide it over the front of your face while allowing the ear cups to naturally rotate over your ears you will avoid putting unnecessary strain on the plate that holds the ear cup in place. Every set I've come across personally has broken at the plate and this should keep that from happening.

Between the two, go with the 930. At the very least the headset uses a standard micro USB cable. Even if you were to step on it while it was plugged in, it would just come off. The new corsair void is another good choice. I found that despite it's odd shape it's really comfortable.

For the price of the G930 you can buy HD 518 or ATH-M40x headphones that sound much better than either of them. Higher build quality and better styling to boot.

Thanks for your fast asnwer. I have 2 more fast questions.

1. How often does this issue occured with the unit turning off ?
2. Did you get yours from Amazon ?

1. Kinda depends seems to happen more often as the battery reaches zero or at higher listening volumes. If I had to put a average on it, I'd say once every 45 mins. Please keep in mind there are times it will go 2 hours or more without shutting off.

2. No, I purchased both sets locally. The first one from Fry's electronics and the second time from Best Buy.

It's seems weird and it really changes my mind. What's the point and what's causing it... That would just piss me off even more 😀 ...the headphone to just shut off in the middle of listening to a tune or playing...

Some blame a weak usb connector. (I dunno why but I've read it) Really though I don't often have them on for longer then an hour, mybe 2 if I'm really involved in a game. With that said I only need to turn them back on one or twice which isn't too bad. Most days I kinda just run with them plugged in anyway and just unplug if I wanna use the john or get a snack.

I use the headset because I like the G buttons on the side. They can be made to control music tracks in windows media player. It's nice when studying to skip tracks without reaching for my mouse. It also has a equalizer available with the gaming software. My rig is almost all logitech at this point. But if none of this stuff is important, there are better options out there. Look into the corsair sets. The wireless h2100 has better sound and is more comfortable. It's ear cups are cloth and memory foam. I have a pair as a spare and I would say it's the better sounding of the 2. The new wireless void should continue the tradition in a form factor that is even more comfortable to wear. Also the g930 and g430 have been replaced with the g933 and the g633. They are a bit pricey but worth a look for some of their cool features.

So i am here 6 months earlier to hear out your choice.

Limitations:
1. The headphones cost must be maximum $70 (Amazon).
2. It must be for gaming or to be more exact 7.1 surround.
3. It must be Over-ear.

1) You should wait for post-christmas sales and get the HD558 or ATH-M40X (or if you're lucky, ATH-AD500X or G4ME ONE might be in your price range), though if you must buy now the HD518 or ATH-M30X should be fine.
2) "7.1" is the biggest load of crap ever. Ignoring that because it's actually worse for gaming except for when the game doesn't support built in headphone mixing (which are usually games where positional audio doesn't even matter anyway)
