I bought these speakers at a ridiculous good price at Target ($17!) well I set up everything but I don't know which cables to use it came with 2 cables one was a 4 Channel Surround Sound Input Cable and the other was a 2 Channel Input Cable. I don't know which one to use.

here is the manual http://www.logitech.com/assets/33015/z506620-002649005326gsamr.pdf

each speaker should have its own rca style connector which plugs into the back of the subwoofer. the front left channel will have a large proprietary connector.

how it hooks up to the pc is with 3 male-to-male 3.5mm connectors. normally colored green, orange and black. these connect to the 3 jacks on the back of your pc (colored the same).

if you're missing one of the colored 3.5mm cables any male to male 3.5mm cable would work if its 3pole (2 ring + tip on connector). they are more common then dirt.

That weird mine only has blue, green, and red.

I have every thing the problem is that I'm not sure if I have to use both the cables.

both?

the z506 is very simple to connect.

*the 5 speakers plug into the back of the subwoofer via the rca connectors and the odd multi-pin connector for the front left channel.
*three 3.5mm male to male cables connect from the inputs on the back of the subwoofer to your pc.

there is a diagram.... on the manual provided above. you need to connect via the green, black and orange 3.5mm plugs on your computer rear panel and the cable that should be provided with this set.

Fixed it I just needed to switch the black, orange, and green one around. Thanks for the help! :)

Hi guys, i just bought the same speakers; logitech z506. I literally took my new tower, the monitor and the speakers out of the boxes today. I can't get the speakers to work on my new cpu (ASUS M32 series). There are 3 ports on back of the tower: pale pink, pale green and pale blue. My problem is, the male to male speaker jacks are green, orange and black. Initially, I just plugged in the green jack to the green port on the tower....and only 2 of the speakers worked. I plugged the black and orange jacks into the remaining ports..no sound. I switched the jacks around over and over like a 3 card monty game...still no sound. I went back to just the green to green, no sound this time even after i had sound on just 2 speakers. Any advice? Thanks.

please create your own thread, but before you do please read the manual which came with your pc (or find your motherboard manufacturer and model and look up the manual for it) and read what it has to say about your sound output options. it could be that they are using the port sharing and you need to set which port does what in your audio properties.
