Looking for a good, new 15 inch laptop with built-in antiglare screen and i5 or i7.

I get migraines from glare and eye fatigue. I use the internet and email several hours a day. Not a gamer. I can afford up to $1200. the companies are tellin me I have to buy a business computer to get anti-glare screens. If you know which companies have the best anti-glare computers and which models to look at I'd appreciate it. If there is something else like resolution or FHD or HD or something I need to also consider let me know.

I'm looking at these but are open to other suggestions of companies or models.

I assume we're talking about laptop screens (and not stand-alone monitors).

If screen type and price are your only criteria, then there are hundreds of machines to consider. What you're looking for is a matte non-touch screen (it's the touch-coating that causes the glare).

My advice is to visit a few stores and decide which brand has the best screen for you eyes. If you are prone to migraine attacks and eye fatigue caused by PC screens, then those are very serious considerations that can only be properly addressed by standing in front of an actual screen - a bit like buying new lenses for your eyewear.

On a very general level, Dell's XPS series is often praised by reviewers because of the screens, as are Apple's MacBooks (but they are also notoriously expensive!) $1,200 will get you quite a lot of both powerful and stylish laptops. Here are three main-stream options:

I don't know if this made any sense, or maybe only added to your woes, but as I said earlier, you really should hold a laptop in your hand and make your decision on which screen is most lenient on your eyes.

Definitely worth considering, especially because HP has a very wide range of non-touch laptops in the $250 to $800 range. Too bad I don't have an AMEX card myself, but maybe our poster does...
