Looking for a laptop for engineering programs

I'm looking for a laptop that will last me through senior year of high school and a 4-year college. I'll be running CAD software and rendering with programs like Autodesk Inventor and Revit. I was originally looking strictly for workstation laptops (with a professional graphics card) but found that they are very thick and heavy. I'd still consider one if I could find one on the smaller side though. I'm down to 2 different laptops. The HP EliteBook 8770w, and the Razor Blade Pro. The razor blade pro is much lighter and thinner, but it's also geared more towards gaming. I think it could still run what I want it to just as well as the HP, but I would like another opinion. Also, if I buy the Razor Blade Pro I will get the 512gb version, so the prices are about the same
