Looking for a Laptop that can Game

Hey guys, im getting a new laptop and just wanted your opinion. Just so you all know I already have a desktop. Now I need a laptop for mobility for school and since I have a $1000 budget, I guess I can get a gaming one. So far i've thought about these two. The lenovo y500 with sli gt650m, http/www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7787100&Sku=T71-12022 CA

The problem with the lenovo is that tigerdirect has not listed if the sli gt650m has GDDR5 or GDDR3 memory. Also, it says the resolution is 1366x768 but if you search the same model number on the tigerdirect.com website, thats listed as 1920x1080. I've read that the 1366x768 version is not good so i'd be looking for the 1920x1080 version.

Now if you guys know any better laptops at that price, please post here. Also I will be playing games such as Planetside 2, BF3 and BF4 so that means the laptop also needs a decent GPU along with the CPU. Thanks for all the input.
One more thing I live in Canada so any laptop link you guys post must be available and shippable to Canada. My budget is around the $1000 mark. Thanks

Portable

4+ Hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Game sometimes. BF3, BF4, Planetside 2. Medium settings or even high would be good.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Just basic school stuff like browsing, Microsoft office, etc.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

Anything more than 250GB.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

I would like to keep it for atleast 2+ Years.

DVD is fine but if not, not really a big issue.
