I'm looking to buy a new gaming laptop with a budget limit of about 800-1000 and could use some advice.

Some features I'm looking for are:
GTX 1050/GTX 1050ti
IPS 15" Screen
USB-C Thunderbolt
SSD or Hybrid
Upgradable
Decent Battery Life of 6+ hours browsing or 2-3+ load(also prefer easily detectable)

Atm im leaning towards a Dell Inspiron 15 7567 or 7577, though from what i can tell they are lacking in ports. Any help on some ideas would be much appreciated

You have 2 choices:

As far as upgrade ability goes, that's limited to hard drives and memory. These days the CPU and GPU are integrated into the motherboard on gaming laptops.

I have an Xotic PC 'Sager' laptop(i7 6700, gtx 970) and the CPU & GPU are integrated. Being a tech, I've also opened up many other modern gaming laptops that are the same way. I recently picked up an MSI laptop(i7-6820, dual gtx 1070's) that I plan on taking apart this weekend. I'm certain that that's going to be integrated parts as well.
