Looking for a non-android cell phone

Looking for a non-android cell phone - could be a non-android smart phone, for my husbabnd. He now has a cheap flip-top cell phone on Straight Talk/Verizon. He needs a phone that has a good speaker, one that he doesn't have to hold to his ear. The one he has doesn't have that, but has a loud ringer. What phone would you suggest that would fill the bill? We prefer Straight Talk, either Verizon, Virgin Mobile or Sprint.
He now has a Samsung flip top phone on Straight Talk .

If you are looking for a non-Android phone, then your only choices are really an iPhone or one of the various Windows phones out there (assuming you want a smart phone). As for the volume thing, headphones might be something to consider as that would take that out of the equation entirely.
