Looking for a performance laptop around $800

Hey guys, its been 5 years since my last laptop upgrade (Dell Latitude E6420 i5 8gb ram) and it is getting a bit too slow for me since I do alot of video editing and gaming.

I was wondering if you guys can help me decide. I would like a new model laptop, preferably 2014-2015.

What I want :

i7
Discrete Graphics card prefered but not neccessary
8gb ram (upgradeable)
500gb hdd (upgradeable)
1080p resolution

Basically I want a high performance laptop with low ram and hdd so that i can upgrade it to about 20gb ram and 500gb ssd.

Which laptop would be the best regarding those specs and price?

I was looking at the Dell Inspiron 7537 but I have no clue what other laptops there are out there.

I used to use ASUS F554LA, which is Satisfactory.

And that model is the upgrade version [better quality] of mine.
