Looking for a replacemet for a Disk drive

Will a CD/DVD disk drive with a Model UJ8HC work if made by any manufacture?

From a Google search on that model number I see it's a slim (9mm) DVD-RW drive. The SATA connection for that drive is standard for modern laptops but a replacement, if not the same model, has to be the same slim height. The older "standard" of 12.5mm drive won't physically fit into slimmer modern laptops.
