Hello Experts

I have a problem to receive a 5.1 output from my laptop.

For now I have

Home theatre system : http://www.amazon.de/Pioneer-S-HS100-Lautsprechersystem-Maximale-Belastbarkeit/dp/B003OQ4I1O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458921729&sr=8-2&keywords=pioneer+5.1+heimkinosystem

AV receiver : http://www.amazon.de/Yamaha-RX-V679-AV-Receiver-titan/dp/B00Y0Q51LI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1458921772&sr=8-2&keywords=yamaha+rx+679

Audio DAC : http://www.amazon.de/Asus-U7-Externe-Soundkarte-Kopfh%C3%B6rerverst%C3%A4rker/dp/B00CP53ML2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458921810&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+xonar+u7

SPDIF : http://www.amazon.de/KabelDirekt-3m-Optisches-TOSLINK-Digital/dp/B004YEI7Y4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1458921841&sr=8-4&keywords=SPDIF

So I have connected my audio DAC to my laptop and then an optical out from the DAC is connected to AV receiver in which the 5.1 speakers are connected. But now the problem is that I can receive 2.1 out rather than 5.1. Is there anything leftout in this setup or do I need any software in addition. Please get me a solution if you are known to it.

Thankyou in advance.

Solution
The SPDIF out of that "DAC" surround sound processor is coax digital and the cable you link to is an optical digital audio cable. Not compatible. In fact you would find it hard if not impossible to plug the toslink cable into the SPDIF RCA jack.
You can use any composite video cable to make the connection to see if it works.
