Looking for an inexpensive laptop for school and sims for under 600

I’m planning on purchasing a laptop to school and also for me to play sims on because my current desktop lags a lot due to age but I need a laptop under 600 dollars and I was thinking about purchasing the
HP Notebook - 15-bs013cy . Would this be good laptop for playing sims, and having custom contents and still not lag?

Nothing wrong with this HP - it'll do the job fine. Although the HD 520 might be a tad on the low end for Sims 4.

This $550 Acer ups the game with a Kaby Lake i5, a 2GB dedicated GeForce 940MX card and a 256GB SSD. It is a bit heavier, at 5.23lbs, but battery life should be significantly better. Storage is rather modest but you can buy this $50 1TB external HDD and still stay within budget:

This combo will give you a much faster SSD system disk and all the storage you'll need for the next 2-3 years. Worth considering, in my opinion.

Edit: I just realized I was looking at a slightly different HP - yours has the HD 620 IGP which is more powerful than the HD 520, but I would still recommend using a dedicated graphics card for Sims 4.
