looking for battery issues

The update may have turned on settings you had turned off, or even turned on apps you turned off. And if the update was directly for an app(s) then this could also be making them run more and drain the device.

Check your settings for the phone and the apps you regularly use. Make sure everything is set correctly. Be sure you turn off apps when done with them. Just going to another screen/app doesn't close them. They are sitting open and running. Also, I suggest restarting the device at least once a day.

Should none of this work/help, then you may need a new battery.
