Hi Folks,

I'm new here, and thanks for having me. I need to create an instructional video using my Windows Laptop. Similar to those videos you see on YouTube where a persons face is in the corner giving instructions while you can see the computer screen at the same time I've never done this before, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Easy to use and open source is usually not something that goes together.

This is a pretty good list of programs https://www.ispringsolutions.com/blog/training-video-software including some very cheap and some with free trials, although the trials probably add a watermark or limit length.

You can combine several things for this, using a recording and a separate animation for the content then just mix the two into one with a picture in picture of the video during the presentation.

There are also screen recording software included in Windows you can use.
