I'm buying a new laptop for general use (I don't play many games and don't need a huge amount of storage space) and my main aim is to get it running as fast as possible for every day tasks (i.e. lots of chrome browsing, editing word docs, media player).

I'm still getting my head around the different specs involved, so I'm kind of unsure of which will make the biggest difference to having a fast, reliable laptop.

I've narrowed it down to the following three options (in order of cost), and I'd really appreciate any advice! Do you think I'll notice a significant difference between them for the kind of usage I described?

option 1: Acer Aspire e5
Intel Core i3-7100U 2.4 GHz (Dual-core), 4GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 5400rpm hard drive.

option 2: Acer Aspite e5 + upgrades
Either adding another 4GB of RAM, or adding 120GB SSD.
(Any thoughts on which would do more to improve performance are very welcome! As are any tips on things I need to consider when buying these upgrades.)

option 3: Acer Swift
Intel Core i5-7200U 2.7 GHz, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD.

I'm buying in Brazil and my budget is up to R$2500 (about US$780).

From my research so far, the laptops mentioned from my original post seem to be my best options. They come in at;
option 1: $510
option 2: $510 + the cost of SSD and/or extra RAM
option 3: $780

I guess I'm trying to figure out if the extra cost in option (2) or (3) will make a noticeable difference to my everyday use (lots of chrome browsing, usually several word docs open with images, tables, etc). Also watching HD videos, either online or from files on the HD.

Hope that answers your question about requirements, let me know if there are any other details that would help!!
