Hi guys
I have the same prob with myToshiba satellite C50-B-140, I have tried everything you've said still not responding
This is what's on screen
Reatek pci family controller series
Media test failure, check cable

Hi,

It looks like your laptop is trying to boot via Network and not by your HDD. Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Boot your laptop in BIOS then press F9 and it should reset it to default, press F10 and it should save and exit.
- If this will not work, load BIOS again then make sure to set the HDD as the first boot device.
- If this will still not work, remove the HDD off the laptop and if it will boot into a black screen with a different error about insert boot device that means the problem is the HDD.
