looking for low budget gaming/programming laptop

my budget has changed to £630, i need help deciding which laptop is better
i have come to these 2 laptops, but not sure which is better

This one I get £70 off because im a student its an i5 6thgen quad core, 8gm ram, 1T hhd and has a gtx 950m(4gb)

however this one (Intel Core i7-4720HQ, 12Gb RAM, 1.5Tb HDD+128Gb SSD with a gtx 950m(doesnt say how much memory) also its £612

What games will you be playing?

I will probs play stuff like Ark, Dota 2, some triple A games etc, trying to find games that would run on this laptop. I mainly want it for uni ( I do game development) so need something decent to run visual studios, Photoshop, unreal engine etc...
but I do want to be able to play a few games on this as well such as pc/Microsoft exclusives that I cant play on ps4 -.-

I could probably add £50

Look for an i5 m cpu with 8 gigs of ram with a gt 840m.
