Looking for ram compatible with laptop

I have a Toshiba Satellite 500L, and I am trying to find out what type of RAM and what is the max I can install. I tried Bellarc but can't get the exact model number. I think this is because the computer was customized when purchased. I also tried to use Crucial's system scanner, but the model could not be found. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53 GHz. Is there a way to find out what I need for my laptop?

Just taking a quick look at other laptops using that processor, you're probably going to want DDR2 800 (PC2 6400). The system can probably handle up to 8GB.
